I feel we have enough of a community to support a Cub Scout Pack here in our neighborhood. This is not a light undertaking. It requires parental involvement. The BSA has mentors and training for new unit leaders and a wealth of experience to assist to the success of a new unit. We can help you provide your sons a great program to be a part of. Parents, why has there been no discussion of this at all? A Cub Scout Pack here in FS would great! In the past there have been GS troops, why not Cub Pack? There are 12 steps to creating a pack. As the District Commissioner for the local BSA council, I would be happy to discuss this here or in person with any interested adults. We need to get the adult leadership trained and ready to handle the neat activities your boys will do as they go through the program. Tiger Scouts are kindergarten age and would need a parent/guardian with them for the program. Wolf and Bear scouts are the next step up. They will require Den Leaders. WEBELOS scouts are the two transistional level from Cubs to Boy Scouts. This can be a real neighborhood/community program. Isn\'t there some interest? I am a 26 year resident of this neighborhood.
