4 Way Stop at Feathersound Drive & Whisperwood Drive (SPONSOR 10/05/06 5:41pm)
I'm tired of people not coming to a stop at this intersection. Specifically, there seem's to be a problem with people exiting their neighborhood from Whisperwood DR, heading towards Ulmerton. (See http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/3944/baddriversvf9.jpg)
Five times within the last month I had to lock up my brakes as an irresponsible driver came halfway into the intersection before coming to a complete stop.
I understand if there is a visability problem, a need to see properly. However, if this is the case, I beg of you to come to a complete stop at the white line, as your supposed to, and then slowly scoot forward until you can see both directions.
I'm tired of irresponisble drivers putting my children and myself in danger. There is one woman in specific, who drives a minivan, and I'm not quite sure that she even knows there is a stop sign there, as I (along with several other witnesses) have watched her coast through the stop sign, coming from Wisperwood, without even stopping.
Please just obey the traffic laws and help keep our neighborhood safe. That is all I ask. (SPONSOR 10/05/06 5:41pm) REPLY
I sympathize with your complaint. PEOPLE, what will it take to follow the simple rules you ACCEPTED upon the issuance of your driver license? A dead child? A family destroyed? Are we in THAT much of a hurry to get onto Ulmerton Road, with all its traffic, that we are will to sacrifice our mutual safety? We depend on each other to follow the rules of the road. I have to know that I can count of a driver stopping at a stop sign. I need to know that you understand the procedure to follow at a four-way stop. Sound dramatic? Over the top? Guess we'll see how dramatic it is when it's YOUR child under the wheels of someone on their cell while driving 10 miles over the neighborhood limit and rounding the corner of a traffic stop intersection.
