This note is to the person sending me anonymous letters about my boat parked in the driveway.
I appreciate your concern that parking my boat in my driveway is a blight in the neighborhood. The boat is kept in storage as is evident by the fact that I have owned it for over 23 years and you have only seen it in my driveway twice. Each time I have been restoring it to a usable condition.
For your information, I do NOT live in a deed restricted community. I did not sign deed restriction papers nor is there an active housing authority to enforce restrictions.
In the future, I would appreciate you knocking on my door and discussing your concerns like a real neighbor rather than sending the Threatening anonymous letters. Until that happens, please enjoy looking at my boat as much as I do. (sillylilcutie08 10/18/06 8:40am) REPLY
Dear NoDeedSignedHere!
Other than the information you posted … I am not familiar with the details of your situation. I do however feel compelled to reply.
From my perspective and as a homeowner in a deed-restricted community (perhaps the same one as the “concerned resident”) I must offer a word of encouragement to you >> and that word is: PERSEVERE! It appears to me that you have been sensitive and respectful to your neighborhood – thank you. Your project is not “never-ending and has always clean, organized and tidy – thank you. To me, you clearly are not “storing” your boat in your driveway - thank you. That said, the opinion that you are creating a blight in our neighborhood is not one held by me.

Dear \"A Concerned Neighbor\"
Placing your little anonymous nasty notes in mailboxes (unlawful - check with your post office) with your own opinion, with wrong facts, and ending it with \"A Concerned Neighbor\" is just a nasty thing to do.
If you were really a concerned neighbor, you might offer to assist a neighbor with a problem or a concern, lending a hand, instead, you criticize. You seem to have extra time on your hands as our neighborhood inspector.
Last time I checked, we lived in America. Last time I checked, we are not in a deed restricted neighborhood. Are you a self appointed judge and jury on how one keeps their home, yard, boat, car, etc?
Please be a good neighbor and mind your own business unless you are willing to make yourself known to those you criticize and offer suggestions that are not so nasty and inaccurate. (unsigned 04/02/08 5:10pm) REPLY
We\'ve been in the neighborhood about 10 days and have received a visit as well as a mailbox note from a \"caring neighor.\"
Yes we have a trailer in the driveway and some limbs in the yard. We are working on it!! Would you prefer we do away with the trailer and have boxes, paper, painting supplies, etc. laying around?
In case this caring neighbor hasn\'t noticed, the house we moved into was vacant - and had been for a while - and the majority of the mess we are cleaning up is from the prior residents. Trying to get moved, unpacked and clean up someone else\'s mess is a bit time consuming.
If you truly want to be a caring neighbor, help us clean up the mess. Otherwise, leave us alone!

Here\'s a thought . . . who would do something like that ? ? ? Take a hard look at your local realtors . . . maybe one that just had a birthday . . . something about dinasours in the front yard . . . maybe we should all file a formal complaint with the post office so they file formal charges.
